There is no independently verified league table of Bali rehabs. This alphabetical list is a starting point: eight active programmes whose official websites described substance-use treatment in Bali when checked on 12 July 2026. Inclusion is not an endorsement or a claim that a centre is right for you.

The eight programmes

Bali Beginnings — Uluwatu

The provider describes a small residential programme with private rooms, individual and group work, medical support and 11 months of aftercare. Ask for current evidence of licensing, staff registrations, overnight medical coverage and the exact services included in the quoted fee.

Bali Harmony Rehab — Pererenan

The centre lists residential, outpatient, detox/stabilisation and sober-living programmes and says it accepts a maximum of four residential clients. Clarify which services are delivered at the licensed facility, who supervises withdrawal and when hospital care would be used.

Calm Rehab Bali

Calm lists 4-, 8- and 12-week residential options and says medically supervised detox is available where required. Ask which clinicians are present on site, what substances and withdrawal risks it can safely accept, and how emergency transfer works.

Freedom Bali

Freedom describes private, one-to-one residential programmes in villa accommodation and publishes package information online. Confirm the treating team’s qualifications, the balance of clinical treatment and activities, food and medical exclusions, and the complete price in writing.

Kembali Addiction Treatment Centre — Kemenuh, Gianyar

Kembali describes residential drug and alcohol treatment combining counselling, recovery work and holistic activities. Ask about current licensing, staff coverage, assessment, detox arrangements, family involvement and continuing care.

Seasons Bali — north Bali

Seasons describes residential treatment with clinical and recovery support and advertises ISO 9001 certification. Certification of a quality-management system is not the same as proof that a particular treatment will work, so request the certificate scope, clinical registrations and current programme details.

Sivana Bali — Kerobokan Kelod

Sivana describes an individualised residential programme after detox, combining therapy, recovery support and wellbeing activities. Clarify where detox takes place, which medical and psychiatric staff are available and what aftercare is included.

The Lighthouse Bali — Sanur

The Lighthouse describes private, one-to-one inpatient programmes in villa accommodation, along with outpatient and trauma-focused options. Ask how clinical governance works across private accommodation, what support is present around the clock and who is responsible for medication and emergencies.

How the list was selected

Each programme had an active official website, publicly described addiction treatment delivered in Bali and provided enough detail for preliminary comparison. We did not independently inspect the facilities, verify every credential or assess treatment outcomes. The order is alphabetical and no provider paid for placement.

Ask every admissions team the same questions

  • What is the facility’s current Indonesian licence, and can I see it?
  • Who completes the medical and psychological assessment?
  • Which qualified staff are physically present by day and overnight?
  • Can you safely manage my likely withdrawal needs? Where would detox occur?
  • What happens in a medical or psychiatric emergency?
  • Which evidence-based therapies are delivered, by whom and how often?
  • How are medications prescribed, stored and administered?
  • What is included and excluded from the total written price?
  • How are family work, discharge planning and aftercare handled?
  • What is the complaints process if care is not as described?

If an admissions conversation feels rushed, evasive or built around a guaranteed outcome, slow the decision down. A qualified health professional can help assess the appropriate level of care before you compare accommodation or activities.

Sources and verification

Programme details come from the eight providers’ official websites, listed in the source notes of their draft profiles. The comparison questions are informed by SAMHSA’s quality-treatment checklist and the US National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism’s quality-care guidance. Provider claims have not yet been independently verified by Bali Recovery.
