Our standards
Editorial policy
We separate editorial guidance from commercial relationships, date important information and correct material errors transparently.
Who the editorial team is
The Bali Recovery Editorial Team is the organisation responsible for researching, writing, checking and correcting this site. The team is an editorial author, not a doctor, treatment provider, emergency service or substitute for an individual assessment.
We do not imply a clinical review through a generic byline. If a page is reviewed by a clinician, that page must name the reviewer, show relevant credentials and describe the scope of the review. Pages without those details have received editorial research and fact-checking only.
What we publish
Bali Recovery publishes practical guidance about recovery, treatment, meetings and sober life in Bali. We answer the reader’s question directly, distinguish editorial judgement from provider claims and make uncertainty clear when information cannot be independently confirmed.
Research and public links
Our editorial team keeps dated research and verification notes behind each article. Article pages show the evidence category, source-record size and review date, but not a bibliography-style list. This keeps the guidance readable while making its research basis and limits visible.
For health claims, we prioritise government and public-health guidance, professional bodies and peer-reviewed research. For a provider’s programme, price, staff or policy, we prioritise the provider’s current primary information and label what could not be confirmed. A source count records items checked; it is not a quality score or proof that a page is clinically reviewed.
Official AA and NA meeting-directory links remain available because meeting times, formats and venues can change. Readers should use those directories and the dated checks on Bali Recovery before travelling. Direct links may also appear when they are needed to reach an emergency or public-safety service.
Health and safety
Bali Recovery provides general information, not diagnosis, medical advice or emergency response. Medical emergencies, dangerous withdrawal, overdose and immediate risk of harm are directed to qualified services. Meetings and recovery coaching do not replace clinical care.
Independence and commercial relationships
Commercial relationships do not buy rankings, favourable claims or the removal of material concerns. Treatment lists use a stated, consistent order. Paid or referral relationships must be disclosed where they could affect a reader’s decision.
Reviews and corrections
Time-sensitive pages show a review date. We update material facts when better information becomes available and correct significant errors without allowing a provider or partner to rewrite independent editorial judgement.
Send factual corrections to support@balirecovery.org. Include the page, the detail you believe is wrong and enough information for us to check it.
